PTFE and FEP alternative
Our FFKM O-rings are an ideal replacement for PTFE (*) O-rings (which have no elastic recovery) or small-diameter FEP encapsulated seals (expensive and low-quality in small sizes).
Sourcing
Our range can facilitate the supply of your O-rings and molded parts. 3M’s withdrawal from FFKM materials has led to many grades on the world market being changed, and in some cases discontinued. The modification of the various grades at the major global FFKM players also resulted in the creation of production queues, increasing delivery times. All these changes have disrupted your supplychain. As a solution, we offer fast production lead times and agreements facilitating the setting up of dedicated stock for 24-hour delivery.

ULTIMA FFKM technology to withstand any test
FFKM materials combine the elasticity of FKM with the chemical resistance of PTFE, guaranteeing optimum protection against aggressive chemicals. They retain their properties even under difficult conditions, such as steam, plasma and rapid gas compression, thanks to different grades specially designed for each application.
Extremely resistant to toxic environments
Thanks to its carbon-fluorine bonds, FFKM offers exceptional chemical resistance, surpassing all other elastomers, including FKMs. It is ideal for applications where seals are exposed to aggressive fluids, with no risk of swelling, cracking or loss of mechanical properties.
⚠ Limitation of use: avoid contact with fluids with high concentrations of fluorine, such as:
PFPE lubricants (GALDEN type) → 30-50% swelling
HFA123 fluid (replacing R11 and R12 gases)

Extremely cold-resistant
At low temperatures, FFKM elastomers become stiffer, altering their sealing capacity by limiting their deformation and adaptation to contact surfaces.
To overcome this problem, the FFKM Ultima Freeze range has been designed to combine excellent chemical resistance with low-temperature flexibility. Thanks to specific blends, these elastomers resist many chemicals while maintaining low permeability and reduced swelling, outperforming conventional fluoroelastomers such as Viton GLT and GFLT.
These properties enhance the performance of external equipment (valves, pumps, fittings) and industrial installations. Technical data sheets systematically indicate TR10, measured according to ASTM D329. Ultima Freeze grades boast a TR10 at -30°C (compared with -4°C for standard FFKM), enabling static use close to the brittle point at -40°C.
Why white Ultima FFKM?
Conventional FFKMs contain carbon black as a reinforcing filler to improve their mechanical properties. However, if particles break off, they can contaminate your production in the form of black microdots.
With Ultima white FFKMs, this risk is eliminated, guaranteeing production without visible contamination and reducing batch losses.
Gaskets for the medical, food and beverage industries
In the food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries, seal failure can lead to high costs and compromise production purity. So it’s crucial to have a reliable solution that can withstand chemicals, fluid variations and high temperatures.
Our food grades comply with FDA 21CFR 177.2400, EC 1935/2004 and USP Class VI standards. They ensure optimum sealing even during cleaning with hot water, ozone or alkaline detergents (soda, peracetic acid), as well as thermal (steam) or chemical (ethylene oxide) sterilization phases. Thanks to their very low level of extractables, similar to PTFE, FFKMs considerably reduce the risk of contamination, outperforming peroxidized FKMs or EPDMs. For the pharmaceutical and biological industries, where visible contamination is to be avoided, we offer a range of white FFKMs without carbon black. Finally, to guarantee maximum purity, we offer parts manufactured under controlled atmosphere in cleanrooms, covering all stages: mixing, extrusion, molding and packaging.
High temperature and pressure resistance
Traditional elastomers such as FKM or silicone can withstand temperatures of up to 200°C, but Ultima FFKMs can reach 330°C continuously. Their structure, based on carbon-fluorine bonds and vulcanizing agents, gives them excellent thermal properties.
However, the choice of grade depends on the application environment:
Peroxide vulcanization: high resistance to alkalis, amines, superheated steam, ketones, solvents and ethers, but limited resistance to acids. Max. temperature: 230°C.
Triazine vulcanization: better resistance to acids, ketones, solvents and ethers, with permissible temperature up to 330°C, but not suitable for alkalis, amines and superheated steam.
Bisphenol vulcanization: resistance up to 280°C, excellent compatibility with ketones, esters, ethers and solvents, but avoid for acids. May be suitable for alkalis, amines and superheated steam, although peroxide is preferable.
🔹 Note to designers: FFKM has the highest coefficient of thermal expansion among elastomers. Remember to check and adjust the size of your housing if necessary. If you have any questions, please contact us!
Petrochemical applications, gas and paint
The oil and gas industry places increasing demands on sealing systems, with high pressures and aggressive fluids. To meet these demands, we offer the Ultima FFKM AED range, designed to combine chemical resistance with protection against explosive decompression (RGD – Rapid Gas Decompression).
When a gasket is subjected to high pressure, gas seeps into its molecular voids. Slow decompression allows the gas to escape gradually without damage. On the other hand, too rapid a drop in pressure leads to explosive decompression, causing the seal to crack or even burst, thus threatening equipment safety.
Our high-hardness grades (90 and 95 Shores A) are specially formulated to resist this phenomenon. AED resistance is measured by various tests, including the NORSOK M710, which simulates decompression cycles at 100°C and 150 bar with a ratio of 20.3 bar/min.

Developed for semiconductors and electronics
FFKM Ultima-Pure gaskets are designed to withstand the extreme conditions of semiconductor manufacturing processes: corrosive gases, high temperatures, plasma and intensive cleaning with ultra-pure water (UPW).
